I landed in Entebbe around 10 pm last night after an incredibly long journey. All the luggage was there, but unfortunately one of my bags had opened, and a vacuum sealed comforter was missing. All things considered, though, I can’t complain.
Smooth picked me up from the airport, and we made the trek to Jinja. We arrived at the guest house around 1:30 am and I pretty much washed off and went straight to bed.
I woke up to employees chattering outside, and roosters incessantly crowing. I was so confused…it actually took me a minute to remember where I was. I had no idea what time it was, my phone was dead, and my kindle was still on another time (I didn’t know if it was American time or Amsterdam time). So after some quick math I knew it was somewhere between 8 and 10. I later found out it was 10:) I enjoyed some tea and a scrambled egg sandwich. I got to see Sarah, Susan, and Pr. Nelson…a sweet reunion!
Since that time, I have just been relaxing and working on planning for the Journey medical team who will arrive in October. Pr. Godfrey will be back tomorrow, and we will meet and discuss everything that is to come. So, the rest of the day I will just be resting up for the big job ahead.
Thank you for all of your prayers and support. I am praying for all of you as well. I look forward to sharing all the things that God is doing here in Uganda with all of you!
